Karan Appears in Naked Magazine: Hot In Hollywood

Hey Guys!

I am excited to be your new guest blogger for the month of May! For my first blog this week, I am going to tell you about what it’s like filming an episode of my show, “Jessie.”

Every TV show is different, so the time it takes to film an episode or how it is filmed can be different, depending on the show. For us on the “Jessie” set, it usually takes us about one week to shoot an episode. On Friday night we will get our script for the next week, so we have the weekend to rehearse and go over the lines. Monday morning we have a table read and that’s when we get the cast and crew together and just read through the entire script.

Karan Brar The Kiss That Missed

Karan Brar’s character in ‘Jessie’is a young genius, and in real life… well, things aren’t much different. He’s just as smart in person as he is on the show!

But what really impresses us is how kind-hearted Karan is as well! Recently, he teamed up with the SAG Foundation’s Storyline Online program. Karan made a video of him reading a children’s book which you can see down below.

Michelle Obama Guest-Stars on Disney Channels JESSIE

After booking appearances on the Parks and Recreation finale and Nashville, Obama is headed to Disney Channel’s youth-targeted original comedy Jessie for a cameo in the May 16 episode airing 8 p.m. ET/PT.

As part of the White House’s Joining Forces initiative, Obama will appear as part of a storyline that raises awareness about the service, sacrifice and needs of military families. Obama, who filmed her guest spot Jan. 29 in Los Angeles, has also taped a public service announcement that will air during the episode. The Jessie cast will also join the Obamas at the White House Easter Egg Roll on April 21.

Jessie centers on 22-year-old Jessie Prescott (Debby Ryan) who, after spending her childhood on military bases, is now a New York City nanny to four children — three of whom were adopted from different parts of the world — and their giant pet lizard, Mrs. Kipling.

The official logline for the episode, “From the White House to Our House,” is as follows: Jessie and Zuri (Skai Jackson) set out to host a birthday party for Taylor (Kyla Drew Simmons), a new friend who’s sorely missing her mother, a deployed member of the military. When Taylor decides she’d rather not celebrate anything without her mother, Zuri enlists the help of Obama.

Kevin Chamberlin, Peyton List, Karan Brar and Cameron Boyce co-star, along with Yvette Saunders, Vernee Watson-Johnson and Lauren Pritchard. Pamela Eells is creator/executive producer, with Ryan as co-producer.

Last year, Obama was a keynote speaker at Disney’s Veterans Institute, an event which leveraged the success of Disney’s Heroes Work Here commitment to hire veterans and encourage better employment opportunities for military men and women transitioning into the civilian world. Joining Forces was launched by Obama and Dr. Jill Biden in 2011.
